Why the name "SUNNY BRITCHES"?
We wanted a name to incorporate the beautiful sunrises and sunsets we get here on the farm, along with a fun word that would make our farm name memorable.
We have three kids that love wearing overalls (hence the word britches) which we incorporated into our new logo.
What does your farm do?
In the spring, we operate as a chick hatchery. We sell various breeds of chickens, quail, ducks, geese, turkeys and peacocks as babies, or hatching eggs for others to hatch. Year round we offer farm to table meat and eggs that we sell to the public. We have a variety of animals that we love and we breed them to sell as farm pets for other farm owners. (Goats, pigs, rabbits, etc.)
We also provide homes for animals that can no longer be taken care of by their owners. A few of our rabbits, pigs and poultry have arrived due to rescue situations.
What is there to do on the farm?
Visitors are welcome to walk around and pet the animals, take a walk through the pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin, take a selfie in the sunflowers or wildflowers, or play on the climbers or in the giant sandbox. One of our favorite attractions with the kids is Hoppy Hollow, our bunny pen. Sit in the hay and be surrounded by friendly bunnies that love to be pet! We have goats that love people, some very friendly emus, and lots of other animals for you to see!
We have chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, peacocks, quail, cows, goats, pigs, bunnies and emus. All are available to see, but not all will let you pet them!
We are fully licenced and insured, have a washroom on site, and we provide a safe atmosphere for everyone to come and enjoy a day on the farm. Most areas are wheelchair accessible, the only exception being the bunny barn as the floor is pea stone.
We have put our heart and soul into providing a way for people to experience farm life, and we are always looking for ways to improve!
